Layering is an important trend in any season, but it’s particularly strong right now with the chilly weather well upon us. It’s the perfect way to make your outfit unique and it allows great versatility in dressing.
For me there are 3 key items that i use when layering;
-tights worn under shorts, skirts or dresses will keep you cosy and can totally transform an outfit. From opaque to patterned, tights are in. Delicate lace tights are a great way to add some edge to a black dress or skirt.
-summer tops can get more use in the winter by simply adding plenty of layers.Try one under a deep V-neck top or a slouchy vest over a cute blouse then top off with a blazer.
-scarves are a little obsession of mine of late, my favourites being big chunky knits in bright colours. Its a simple way of updating a classic mac coat while still looking sophisticated.
