Sweeping, softly draped column dresses that wouldn't look out of place in ancient Athens have been seen on the hottest stars lately. James Coviello, Elie Saab, Versace and Valentino all used pleated and beaded fabric in their current collections.

Dress shapes are subtle, try just showing off your shoulders or legs; a one shouldered style is a great starting point for pleats and makes a dramatic shape. High gladiator sandals, a few hundred battered bangles and plaited details will all give that Grecian Godess feel to any outfit.

Grecian-style dresses never go out of fashion maybe because they're flattering, sexy and oh so elegant.

My favourite would have to be Rihanna's lilac gown..so beautiful.
